My guess is those metal shavings are stainless and likely not magnetic…

With the movement towards “healthy foods” maybe this was SPAM’s attempt to try add in a more natural, healthy ingredient into the recipe than the usual concoction?

Bucky and Mike are onto something. We usually don’t dare
eat the “whatever is in the can” and prefer to boil the can
    for our dose of nutrition.

OH Boy! That’s what happens when it’s not made in MN.

The recall covers 12-ounce metal cans containing “SPAM Classic” with a “Best By” date of February 2021 date. Those products were shipped throughout the U.S.

    The production codes are F020881, F020882, F020883, F020884, F020885, F020886, F020887, F020888 and F020889.

Now you’ll have to excuse me, my Spam is almost done. coffee
