That was way too easy. Out there McDonald’s even has spam on their menus. Some grocery stores have it under lock and key because it is stolen so frequently.

I went through a salt shaker on my watermelon last night and I’m not sure which one of us had more sodium. Lol!

Now the real question is WHY is Hawaii the largest consumer of Spam?

BTW not only does McDonalds carry it on their regular menu, so does Burger King. Most restaurants have some type of Spam dish and all convenience store have Spam, much like we see hot dogs around here.

I’m not even going to mention the population of Hawaii lives longer then the folks on the mainland….

“According to the study, Hawaii life expectancy at birth in the year 2010 was 82.4 years, which is 3.7 years longer than the US national average, where the life expectancy is 78.7.Apr 14, 2017”

I just think we are doing it wrong here. )

I’ll take “Zero Stress” for 500 Alex.

When I was there in January for two weeks nobody looked to have an ounce of stress on their shoulders. Living on Island Time is a real thing.

Glenn, I used google to verify the longer life expectancy…only. That don’t count!

Spam is stress free. I read it on the can.

My last count there are actually 16 flavors that include the spread, Lite and Low Sodium

Spam Jello or Jelly is real. They changed the recipe a number of years ago so less was produced when it was cooked in the can. If a person eats jello…Spam jello is exactly the same without the fruit favoring.

Jalapeno is awesome! Most people are afraid to try it because it sounds hot/spicy. Not so. It just has a mild jalapeno flavor.
The Hot and Spicy flavor has the tabasco taste and is by far the hottest/spiciest flavor of all the Spam creations.

    Bacon
    Turkey
    Hickory
    Hot and Spicy
    Jalapeno
    Teriyaki
    Black Pepper
    Chorizo
    Portuguese Sausage
    Tocino
Cheese << still haven’t figured this one out.
    Garlic
    Mezclita
    Spread
    Lite
    Low Sodium

True story from one of the employees at the Spam Museum:

    “Hello Sir Brian,

I gave a tour to a gentleman from California.
He had a very special story about his grandfather who was in World War II.

He had this particular way of eating food, no matter what it was, he would always hold his plate by his heart. It was just a habit he picked up to keep him from spilling on his clothing.

One day he was out in the field eating his K-rations of SPAM and a bullet lodged in the can, right next to his heart, and saved his life.

He told me that SPAM literally saved his grandfather’s life.

    -Justin”

…and people say Spam isn’t good for you. peace

Sorry BK I wasn’t talking about the jell that use to be in the cans. My father in law won a Spam recipe contest with Spam Jello. Fried the Spam then chunked it up and put it lime Jello.

My mom used to make a holiday jello that used dark cherry Jello with applesauce and bing cherries in it (notice the liked flavor?) It is a whole family favorite!

We do cherry jello with apple sauce except as the water comes to a boil we add 1/2 cup of cinnamon red hots to dissolve.
