Anyone have a recommendation of where to get some HDPE material?

Looking for black 3/4″, by 24″x48″ minimum

The prices online seem a bit over the top for a chunk of plastic lol

Go to Tap Plastics website. I used to live a few miles from one and loved that place.

I bought a 4×8 sheet from menards a while back but it wasn’t that thick. I think the thickest they carry was like 3/8 or 1/2” I can’t remember

That was about the cheapest I found online too.

The equivalent of $400-$700 for a 4×8′ sheet compared to a sheet of plywood still seems nuts

I’ve bought from Grainger. Not sure what a piece that big would cost from there.

Check with Plastics International in Eden Prairie. When I was a machinist at 3M we bought almost all of our plastics there. Definitely cheaper than McMaster-Carr.

Making a new cutting/rigging board. I got a few years out of the wood one I made, but thinking about going with poly this time.

If thats what you are using now just get 1/4″ and lay over what you have. Pick it up and spray everything down for clean-up.

A few years ago I bought a 2’x4′ sheet of 1″ black for $25, from a buddy who used to work at a plastic company, it was tossed in the trash. That was a jackpot find! Wish he found more.
