Guys, there are a million places on the net to get ATV parts. Too many to look at efficiently and so many of them are not really parts places at all, but basically bling-bling accessory shops.

What are the go to places for actual ATV parts? As in mechanical, something’s broke, type parts?

I need an AGM battery and I’d like to get some spare CV joint boots. I have a Polaris machine, if it matters. I prefer to mail order, dealerships are a joke. I just finished rebuilding my recoil starter with a $69 rebuild kit that the dealer wanted $139 for. Pretty much says it all.

I’ve ordered from Dennis Kirk and had my parts in 24 hours. That was for snowmobile parts but their website is easy to use. I usually double check prices versus ebay but know I will get my stuff quicker with DK.

Rocky Mountain ATV all the way. I have ordered from RMATV, Dennis Kirk, Bike Bandit, Amazon and ebay. Amazon and ebay may have the best prices, but the stuff can be Chinese junk. RMATV and Dennis Kirk have fast shipping but Rocky Mountain has a much better selection. Bike Bandit is alright, never did me wrong.

I have multiple ATV’s in my garage (Hondas and Polaris’) and I solely buy parts from Rocky Mountain.

I start with amazon, then bikebandit.com then rockymountain.com and a few others. With amazon prime, I get free shipping. Shipping is costly, in a few cases, the shipping was more than the part. Shop around, I have ordered parts from 3 different parts houses for one fix. Look in the clearance bin, last month I found a set of brake pads for $9 a d all others were between $17 and $32 a set. It pays to shop around.

Terrific suggestions, guys. I’ve bookmarked them all.

I’ve used Dennis Kirk in the past, but they seem to be more accessory and generic / universal parts focused in a lot of cases. I also try Amazon and eBay, but this gets tedious sometimes because there’s not always a way to look up my specific model, so you have to troll through long lists of models that that part fits and hope they are correct.

I’ve got to get a better battery. I just replaced the stock battery last year, but I was in a hurry so I got an El Cheapo special lead acid. For $35 it doesn’t owe me anything, so now time to upgrade and I’m hoping an AGM will last more than a year.

Thanks again for the suggestions. Exactly what I was looking for.

Look up the part first on one of the web sites then plug the part number in on amazon and see what comes it
