SOS Tilt and trim not working

I have my first tournament of the year tomorrow and I was getting my boat all ready and squared to go. I went to run the tilt and trim and there’s nothing. It has no power and doesn’t work with either switch on the throttle or motor. I’ve had the boat out 4 times this year and haven’t had an issue and didn’t touch any of the wires. I didn’t have a lot of time to look but appeared all the wires were still in place. I work the night shift so I’ll be scrambling to figure it out when I get home in the AM. Any help would be appreciated.

    Check fuses first and foremost.

If fuses are good, use a vom to check for power.
I’m assuming you aren’t hearing the pump running. Almost has to be a fuse.

Agreed, if it were a relay or switch you typically would have one direction working. Could also be a broken or loose common/power wire but start with the easy stuff of finding the fuse and go from there. If you find a bad fuse, replace it, and if it pops again you have a short somewhere, could be in the pump motor, relay, wiring/connections, or switch.

Start with the easy stuff (fuses, connections, plugs, corrosion, etc.) and work your way deeper. In all my years of being a maintenance tech 99 times out of 100 its the easy stuff.

FishKing, post your findings and we’ll try to point you in the correct direction.

Where would the fuse be for the tilt and trim?
