    Hello,
I am going to mount a graph at the bow of my boat. It is a tiller Yar Craft. Given what my front deck and bow look like, where would you recomend I mount the locater. When fishing up there I will be casting, dragging, or vertical jigging. Typically fish bigger water or the river.

    Thanks for your advice!

Is there enough room on the flat area above the trolling motor plugin? If you can access under the floor, just to the left of the bow access plate. A Jonny ray mount would work in that situation. It does take up some floor space, but it out of the wind when traveling down the road.

I have access to all those areas. I was thinking just under the trolling motor plug since I am right handed but wanted everyone else’s opinion as I want to do it right the first time.

I amn planning on using a stabil or cisco mount.

I use my front locator for trolling. I want it mounted where both myself and any passenger in the boat can see it. Nothing worse then 8 hours of “how deep are we?”

Do you or your guests ever step off the bow of the boat when docking or pulling up to shore? If so you may want to consider the left hand side for mounting so as to leave the right hand side unencumbered. (I am assuming no one steps over the trolling motor shaft, thus choosing to step off the right hand portion of the bow.)

I still get that even when they have a full view of the screen. doah
