Sonar Map-on-the-GO options?

Humminbird has Autochart. Some units have advanced features like vegetation and hardness mapping.

Lowrance has Genesis and can be used with Navionics SonarChart Live. Sounds like Genesis has shifted how it is sold and marketed?

Garmin has Quickdraw.

Aside from using Sonarchart Live on a tablet, or other supported device, are there any other options out there?

If you wanted a chart for live mapping, what would you go with today?

FYI, I’m currently leaning towards getting a Lowrance product and using Sonarchart Live. Primarily because of the community aggregated Sonarchart data for unmapped lakes such as Sag.

I also like the multiple data collection options for Sonarchart. I could see using a Vex sonarphone in a canoe for some puddle mapping.

wad leaning toward the bird’s helix 10 . I’m thinking this feature will improve greatly in the future and I don’t want to invest too much for soon to become …old. I too am a puddle jumper. I fish primarily unmapped lakes in Canada. Right now I run a 999 rigged on a portable lawn mower battery, or smaller lighter vexilar battery. My brother and cousin have done some impressive stuff with an onix 10. Unfortunately the two units can’t share directly.
