Who in their right mind would have something negative to say about the pledge of allegiance??? Is their something wrong with you dude? If you don’t like it don’t read it don’t open it don’t post or reply on it and most of all just shut up and go away!

So in order to clarify your position,
    Meaning all who read this.
When was the last time you actually stood at attention and pledged the alegence to the flag.
Standing up during the Nation Anthem excuded, Just who has pledged before the flag?

Good question. I can’t honestly answer that, but I am guessing whichever grade k-12 is the last one before they stop. I seem to only remember doing it in elementary school.

We say it before everyone of our snowmobile club meetings which are twice a month. I guess that makes us a bunch of psychos.

Jon, or Brian, or anybody…what’s the difference between moderator or Keymaster on this forum? I wasn’t here in the beginning…just curious.

No major difference for IDO members to know. Mods and Keymasters can help answer user questions, fix password or account problems of fix or delete offending posts.

Sorry, this one went south. Typically we will dust off the offending post and the replies after get dusted too. I know there were a few perfectly ok posts that get deleted. If one was yours, please feel free to re-post. In the perfect world, we would catch them quickly and good post don’t get swept away with the bad ones.

    Thank you,

50 years ago today, my Mom, Dad and my brothers and sisters arrived her in the United States of America. That was one of the greatest days of my life.
That’s all I’ve got to say on this thread!

For those who want a ray of hope, there are classrooms out there that still say the Pledge everyday, my kids being one of them. waytogo

Are they still allowed to say “one nation under God” or has it been sanitized?

Not starting a fight, just curious.

They have daily prayer before the Pledge, so I’m assuming yes.

Did my question offend you? nhamm mentioned his kids still said the pledge of allegiance which I didn’t think they did in public schools anymore. He then mentioned them praying which i’m 99.9% sure they don’t do in a public school anymore. I’m just curious is all.

For what it’s worth I’m leaving for Canada so you guys can line up your nice safe no thinking required threads. It’ll be fun, you’ll see. smirk

It didn’t offend me at all Brian. That was just an attempt at a little humor is all, nothing more nothing less.

But I’ll admit that “so you guys can line up your nice safe no thinking required threads. It’ll be fun, you’ll see”
Is pretty condescending. This is probably the most “no thinking required ” thread I’ve ever seen here.

With all due respect, I don’t think you started this thread to show your patriotism. I don’t think anyone questions your patriotism.

Have a safe trip and God bless.

    whats your point

I can fill up this forum with dull details from my past as well but I don’t see the point. Maybe you should invest in a diary

This kinda’ thing always amazes me…Here’s a clue for you: DON’T CLICK ON IT IF YOU THINK IT’S NOT ABOUT FISHING! Duh…

what if his school taught him something cool about fishing? sounds to me like we should introduce a new forum section for politics. that way no one will be confused about what the content is and everyone can be prepared to be offended.

A balance is nice, they all don’t need to be what’s your favorite ice cream. but they also don’t need to be like I’m having a conversation with my ex-wife either.

Don’t confuse politics with patriotism. They are two totally different things.
