Something comparable to Nano fill

I believe Nano fill is no longer made anything close to this for comparability and easy to find? Walmart, Runnings store. I usually use 8 pound test for panfish and wacky rigging for bass on spinning gear it has worked great

I’ve heard the new Fireline out is it’s replacement.

Ultra carrier 8. Abrasion resistance of fireline with the smooth casting of nanofil. I like it but i couldnt find it in a high vis color.

Ultra carrier 8 is this a fireline brand? just for clarity

Fireline Ultra 8 in 6lb will be stronger than the Nanofil in 8lb.

Ultra 8 is much more abrasion resistant than Nanofil.

would that still be strong enough for my bass application if so awesome I really loved Nano fill just the knots to floro for a leader was a pain sometimes. Thanks for all the help all.

The original Fireline is stronger than its test rating. Braids as a rule are also stronger than their test rating. As RT wrote, 6-lb test Fireline Ultra 8 would likely be stronger than Nanofil 6-lb. But I doubt that tying a fluoro leader would be any easier. You might want to step up to 8- or 10-lb for that issue.

I’m really surprised that tying to fluoro is a problem. For me, it’s the only way I could get a reliable knot.

Nanofil is available at Cabela’s, Dick’s Sports and Wal-Mart and several online e-tailers.
