Not sure who started that trend or where it came from but it needs to stop!
I have a Rapala digital scale too and I always question the weight it shows, mostly because its not what I thought the fish would weigh. But whenever I weigh a dumbbell it is pretty much on the money.
I think the fish gazing photos were started by European carp fishermen. If not, it was definitely Euros.
I think the people who do it think it’s highlighting the fish not the fisherman, but to me, ironically, it comes off as arrogant. I probably wouldn’t mind it as much if the people at least smiled.

Well if you think that I am entertaining thoughts of somehow “violating” this 8″ walleye, then that is your warped imagination, not in my head. Your distorted thinking (about violating fish) is right along with those that would say this is a 32″ walleye. Oh…am I being too arrogant?
