So far in June, outings have varied from straight-up scrounging, to what would best be described as rapid exploitation of multitudinous schoolings.

It would be quicker and easier to describe what we haven’t caught walleyes on. So far, none on top water lol.

It has been challenging at times, but things seem to change with a single opening of the bail.

    Cheers and hook-sets!

Couldn’t agree more had some great days pre fishing last week for the classic tourney and had one heck of a head scratcher on Friday and Saturday to say the least I made a terrible showing to start the tourney. Very frustrating but you gotta have short memory and go back out there and get after it again.

Right now we are rigging and jigging (crawlers, leeches minnows) for keepers in the early mornings and pulling spinners and crawlers, or crankbaits in the afternoon. This is very consistent with early summer patterns from years past. The other thing that has been working is slip bobbering near weed growth which is a good way to score keepers right now too.

    Cheers and hook-sets!
