    Any thoughts on the new SOLIX 15 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS. Other then price!

    12 is good enough for me. I can barley fit it on my ranger.

    I think the 15’s are more for offshore and bass guys who mount it on their side gunnel.

    wonder how that sail will effect your mpg? Fishfinder screen size is out of control…why not just output the signal to a 40″ LED tv at your console?

    My Helix 10 is plenty big enough, I can never see myself going bigger than that…

    a 6″ perch on SI looks like a 39″ pike, that’s why. jester

    I would be more worried about the power draw that unit requires…5.9A peak…two of them on a Group 27 would be quite the draw.

    I was thinking more on the operating system over size and price.

    Maybe compare a helix g2 to the solix.

    I would say if u got the money get it I don’t think u would regret it one bit. I just love all the features the solix has

    That’s what I am starting to think.
    I have to admit that the Helix G2 is looking pretty good too.

    Wonder if there will be any bugs to work out of the solix.

    I have the new helix9 si gn2 and love it too but if I could have afforded the solix 12 I would have got that but that will be next years buy and put the 9 upfront and 12 solix on dash

    The SOLIX is basicly a Gen 2 Onix. It won’t network with the Helix line except for waypoints.
