Has anyone thought about building a beer can heater for their ice house to keep it warmer when they are away? I was wondering if it would be worth the weight vs the heat and how well it would keep the house warm.

I can just hear my wife now “wow you have been drinking a lot of beer this week!” I know, I need to build this heater toast

I have one on the side of a spear house and works great no cans on the inside and I used heavy plastic for the front

That sounds like that design would not weight as much. But it would also not be as much fun to build.

Instead of the cans you can use the black corrugated 4 inch drain tile cut in half and a 12 volt car heater blower with a thermostat on the inside of the panel so it does not over heat.
