I havent played softball in over 10 years. We decided to throw together a tournament team at work. Back when I played the demarini bats were the bats of choice. What bats is everyone swinging these days?

    Hickory Louisville Slugger.

Not only will you save a few bucks nobody will steal it. grin

I must say when I finally gave softball up I couldn’t believe how much extra time and money I had. At the end we were playing 100 or more games a year. Tourneys every weekend, league a couple of nights a week. I must admit it was easier to keep the weight off with all the exercise.

Sorry, can’t help with the bat choice.

bats are not made of aluminum in the softball world anymore. at least not the high end bats.

both usssa and asa have adjusted the bat rules and standards where most of your 200-300 dollar bats are pretty close in performance. demarini still makes a solid bat. worth, easton, louisville slugger, miken, and a few others put out great bats. personally i swing combat.

Never swung a Combat. I personally like Miken. Never hit well with the Demarini’s.

Having played in numerous leagues last summer and more leagues and tourneys again this summer, the best bats I have seen and used were either demarini, easton or louisville slugger. I love the louisville z-2000,3000 and 4000 bats. The demarini juggernaut is always solid and almost any easton will be good. My personal favorite is still my old easton salvo srv5 with any balanced louisville slugger either the 2,3 or 4 thousands being in second. If I were you and just looking to play here and there stick with something in the 150 to 200 range, no sense wasting a ton of cash on an expensive bat if you will only use it sparingly.

I swing a demarini juggernaut or MIken Freak.

    Both good bats.

The bat I used I see the discontinued now. I used a combat wanted bat for the last few seasons. Once it woke up it was our most productive bat.
