Snowmobile Trailer

Anyone have any tips for finding a used snowmobile trailer? I have a buddy willing to give me a great deal on an older sled, but it seems like I’ll end up paying more for the trailer than for the sled!

I’m not looking for anything fancy, non-enclosed, room for a sled and a portable ice house would be perfect.

Is it feasible to find something for <$500?

Craigslist is full of sled trailers.

A quick glance shows a couple in the $600-750 range. Cash is very helpful in getting the price you want.

Find someone with a worn out pop up tent camper. Strip it out to the plywood floor, install a couple of eye bolts and you have a cheap snowmoble trailer

Like that idea! Wish I would have thought of that in the summer, not sure if I’m for the work in the middle of winter though(no garage to work in).

What are looking for? I have an 8×8 steel trailer. New tires and rims with a spare. Needs new lights though

    Basically something like this:

Nothing fancy, just something that I can get a sled on easily and maybe throw a few tie downs on the other side for my portable.

I would buy an enclosed trailer. It protects the machine and gear from roadspray and salt, it offers protection from easy theft, and in the summer it acts as a garage for things like your sled and shelter along with other things.
