Not sure how many will cancel for tomorrow, But My guess is almost none from Saint Cloud south will be open on Thur.

for your sake I sure hope they documented it on a first report of an injury in the event it gets worse. As a matter of fact I would dang well insist on it. In my past work life I seen this turn ugly.

Comin down hard and fast in Carver county! Grandkids schools in Minnetonka closed tomorrow and Thursday. Grandkids in Rogers are “e-learning” I guess.

South metro. Shoot they warned us yesterday they would be canceling school Wednesday Thursday. Confirmed at noon today. Now they are saying maybe Friday too. Drove back from Rochester at 330 took an hour and went the speed limit.

St cloud school district is closed wed and Thursday. Some suburbs of st cloud are the same some just closed tomorrow… As of now

Rocori is closed only tomorrow for now!

I cancelled my installers for the next 2 days.

I was a chaperone for the kids field trip on Thursday, that’s pushed off now till Tuesday. But as of now no canceled school in north branch

OK never mind. Just got the call no school tomorrow or Thursday. I work doubles starting right now for the rest of the week. Night time at moa, and day shift down town. I’ll report what life is like on the highway

Generally all of the districts around st cloud make their decisions together. One late or closed they all are.

thats what was scrolling across the TV as we were watching Nora!!!!! they could change it later i guess…… and thats why i said……for now!!!!!!!!

and i live in the rocori district…….they seem to always be the last one to do anything from my experience!!!!

Captainmusky, I stand corrected. All the close school districts to st cloud are the same

I was thinking you were including Rocori in with it, then the light went on!

Some of the most consistently accurate meteorologists are taking to social media and saying “if MSP only gets 12 inches they’re saying it’s a bust”. Uh yeah, if you’re talking about 18 inches on the low end and pumping it to 24 plus yeah it is.

It’s dumping currently in Rochester! 5 inches I bet . I got the fish bump board between two bricks in the yard . See what she reads in the morning.

Is the homeowner liable for this? I always wondered that. We keep the front step and area as clear as possible and use a lot of sand. Our mailman cuts through the yards cuz all the mailboxes are at the door so he avoids alot of sidewalk. We all try to cut a path for him but even that path was icy as heck.

Same thing in the alley for the trash guys…just an ice rink back there and no real way to clear the ice with all the freeze thaw cycles and the rain last week.

Forecast said 2-4 for last night. Got 3” in East Bethel.

I got about that too, maybe 3-4 inches. They predicted 5-7 where I am. Its hard to tell with the drifting and wind though.

The “lull” has started, until later today. Round 2 forth coming

South Carver county here and I’d say I got about 6″. Blew about 3″ last night and another 3 this morning. I use a compact tractor with a 54″ blower and what sux is I’m up high on the river bluff. The wind up here can blow south and then 10′ later, it’s blowing north. It whips around and I can never avoid getting pasted. I always look like the abominal snowman and profanity flys easily! Can hardly wait for round 2.

The snow is dry here in Rochester. Maybe 5.5″. The snow in my driveway was put in the park behind our property….about 70 feet. It was 18 degrees when this first round got started yesterday and was still at 18 when I went out at 5:10 to get the blower going. It dipped to about 15 degrees right after I finished at 7:30, but now is up to 19.

Most of the moisture with this mess is in Iowa right now. Hopefully it stays south and the temps don’t climb very much.

The sun is out and birds are singing. Roads were fine this morning. Im probably heading home at lunch time however. Some gal last night said the lull was going to be in the afternoon. I said I thought it was going to be in the morning. I guess I can see who was right.

Yep, anyone injured on your property you could get sued. That is why many of us have umbrella policies to cover something such as this because your regular insurance has limits and if they sue you for more than that you are hosed.

I think we got 3″ in Sartell. It started out as super dense tiny flakes so wasnt really accumulating for most of the day then around 3 it was big fluffy flakes and it started piling up.

7″ in Farmtown. Blowin pretty good out there now.
Gotta head out at 10 for a service call, then I plan on hunkerin down.

We were in the 4-7″ for last night and ended up with about 4. Hard to tell with all of the drifting. I’m guessing by the time it’s done we’ll be on the low end of the predicted range. But, with the wind it won’t matter. Keeping up with the driveway plowing is going to be a chit show!
