I shoveled my back patio clear last night and now this is what I see! I’m in the SE metro. Yuck!! How’s everyone else’s snow pile?

    Edit: picture still loading…

I blew the driveway last night, probably 8-9 inches and then woke up to another maybe 2-3 inches this morning and still snowing. North metro

Sheesh you got an additional 13″? Wowsers! We faired much better in Central MN than some of the forecasters. Actually Novak weather was fairly far off for us, but still not too bad. The amateur weather guessers were pretty much spot on. Maybe 8 inches or so and still snowing.

Its snowing as hard now here as it did all day yesterday. My son drove the snowmobile to work last night, but they ended closing at 7.

5 inches yesterday, another 2 over night, more today. This is the third straight week of a multi-day storm event now.

A massive atmospheric river of moisture is set to hit the west coast again today and could dump up to 10 inches of rain in some areas.

We got about the same amount in the SW Metro 6-8″ last night, and another 4″ this morning. Have some great fort making piles for later this winter!

Hopefully it brings rain to the areas that need it most.

Here in the Saint Cloud / Sartell area I’d guess we got around 5-6 yesterday and another 3-4 overnight. I was going to wait till it was finished today to pull out the snowblower again, but the plow had left a rather large pile at the end of the driveway. What started out as a plan to just clear the end so the wife could get out if needed, turned into doing the whole driveway. In dress cloths and dress shoe’s. Won’t do that again. Now I’m sitting here at work with wet feet and cloths.

My kids are loving it. They were only gonna get 5 school days off for Christmas break. They are at 10.5 now plus 2 weekends.

My dual-stage snow blower has been doing well. It handled the slush mess on the first storm and now throws the snow so high and far that the banks forming now are not an obstacle.

I usually clear out the street “upwind” of my driveway which eliminates most of the snow plow impact. My neighbors are happy that I am still clearing out the plow snow wave in their driveways before they get home from work. Some days I have been clearing their whole driveway.

A winter like this makes you appreciate working from home. Although I have been bringing in my wife to work on most snow days.

NE metro … I would say we received 8-9 inches so far.

My strategy of mitigating snow plow drift had ZERO impact this morning. My plow drift was one of the biggest on the street and absolutely impassible with a vehicle. I did not get a chance to clear last nights snow before they came.

I do this every time as well and as long as I get the driveway done before the plow comes through I dont have anything at the end of my driveway when they do finally come through.

An inch of snow, 1/4” of rain, and 1/4” of ice is the total of what we have received so far here in SE MN along Pool 4.

Gravel roads and driveways are a nightmare still. You could practice curling on our 1200’ driveway even after I sanded it.

Hard to tell for sure, but guessing 7-8″ yesterday and another 5 today 45mi west of the metro. Very wet snow today.

It was at the 4′ ridge at the bottom of my driveway! My snowmoblower couldn’t tackle it so I had to knock it down with the shovel, and then I fell on my moon … but I’m okay and I got it all cleared off eventually! Er well, until the next snow storm, that is. chased
