Don’t know how they can go out of business when every farmer in NE SD has one

Don’t forget the “struggling” ND farmers that are also buying these things like crazy. I was on a random slough in South Central ND a couple weeks ago and there were 3 out there, I’ve seen at least a half dozen this year.

They can probably write them off as a farm expense if they use it to move around their fields in the winter.

I haven’t heard that Snobear is going out of business….I cant see why as there’s a huge demand for them.

I have a close friend who bought one with a bad motor and trans. It took a full year to get everything needed to repair it, but well worth it. It has been great to have. We’ve hit a lot lakes that we normally would never do. In the past we’d haul my wheelhouse out to the usual lakes, plunk it down, and stay in the usual spots. This year we’ve left the wheelhouse behind and just hit lakes that don’t cater to the wheelhouse crowd. What a difference. Reminds me of being young when we’d jump in the truck and just try different lakes that we researched and thought might be good.

I hope they stay in business, but agree that the prices are ridiculous.

I fished with a guide on Devils Lake about three weeks ago. He was looking at trading his in and getting a new one but said he will have to wait because he would be 33rd in line on orders for new ones.

I see a number of them here on lake Winnipeg. Having never fished in one, the only benefit over a tracked side by side is the fully self contained factor.

Parts (supply chain) and labor have to be an issue on these units also.

If parts are unavailable (supply chain) and you cannot build … do you lay-off the hourly only to lose them permanently ??

Would be cool to see a resort start renting out a fleet of Snobears. I think they would have customers somewhere between $500-$1,000 per day. Might actually make money if Minnesota wasn’t so entrenched in plowed road/wheelhouse culture.

The guy in Winnipeg chargers $700ish US dollars a day. On a lake like that it’s the cats arse. Just don’t see them catching on in Minnesota as there are very few big lakes that don’t have road systems.
You guys are talking about the price don’t forget about the trailer cost. Not like you can slide one of those bad boys on a 3k snowmobile trailer.

Wilcraft is another company I wonder how they do as I never see them on the ice.

I have yet to see a Wilcraft myself, and they need a fairly long trailer to transport. One thing I am seeing more of are track sleds, like Snowdogs. They are easy to transport and maintain, and can pull a lot of weight. Not glamorous or fast, but they do the job well and use little fuel.

I was just out in ND and Snobears are everywhere. There were 8 at the launch on Saturday

Ah I doubt they are doing that. I just think they have made so much money the past 2 years its just a drop in the bucket
