Will there be any savings with the 200 SHO vs the Inline-4 200? Guess I’m not sure if the Inline 200 is digital throttle or not…

The current F200 does not come standard with the digital throttle found on the Offshore models.

One of the reasons I went with a Skeeter Wx this last spring was because of the F250XCA with digital throttle. I love the response it has when you hit the gas. Now with taking it out totally as an option to hang on the back it really drops the value of 2014-2015 boats as you are going to be $3000 right of the top less on a new 2016. I plan on keeping mine but for guys turning them every year they are going to take a hit. Just my opinion

Question for James or SBC. What are you hearing about customizing boat colors?? There was this rumor of only allowing 10 paint schemes??????????? How much can they lower the price that way? Seems to me they have such a great thing going. I see LOTS of Skeeters on the water last 2 years compared to before that.

For 2016 Skeeter will be offering a pre determined color option schemes for the MX2040 & WX2060.

The rest of the models will remain as virtually unlimited as in the past.

Is there any chance of max hp changes on the wx models?

I’ve not heard of any but I can sure check. I do know the VMAX SHO motors in the 115, 150, 175 and 200 HP variants are reported to be more powerful / faster than the F-series motors.

I have a inline 4 200hp with digital gauges and throttle. Love it. I am pretty sure you can get it without the digital aspect though.

I know I’m going a little off topic here . . . what are the differences/benefits between analog and digital gauges and the throttle?

This is my first Skeeter and I have never had the Analog gauges so I am no expert. In addition to the read outs that the analog give you, my Digital gauges give GPH, Gallons Used, and Hours on the motor to name a few extras. But I really appreciate the digital throttle. It is very smooth and precise. I am sure there are more differences…

I really like the color scheme of the MX2040 at the beginning of this post. The one that is gray with the red pin stripes. I don’t see that as one of the standard color options. (the red pin stripes match the motor very well)
    Is this color available?

Any idea what the rectangular cut outs on the bow and stern are for?

Tool holders for pliers, scissors, etc. The can holders definitely needs no explanation. :toast:

I would have guessed that was part of the venting system.

With the variable trolling rpm set up on a new MX2040 with the F200 V6…..How low could one troll down to ? I know wind and water all plays into this but as a average or expectation?

After searching and going through boat after boat and outboards after outboards – I finally found what I have been looking for.
The MX is MY perfect boat….with every other boat and outboard I decided on – all I could see was everything I did NOT LIKE about them,,,,,,However with the MX ……..All I see is what I like or what is Right about it.

    Thank you for you time

Have they done away with the shelves under the consoles on the 2040 ? The New Panel Pictures kind of look like the depth under is gone. I hope I am missing something here. lol
