The last week has been a bit of a whirl wind for the crew at IDO. We started off the season on the Rainy River as you know. We did that show on Tuesday of last week, and headed back to the metro to drop the footage off. We realized that the snow storm that has now blanketed much of the state was due to hit on Thursday night and snow all day on Friday.
The one thing that popped into our heads was, I bet the muskies up in Canada will be going NUTS before that storm. So off we go! We turned right around and got into Crawfords Camp in Sioux Narrows Wednesday night at about 1:00AM. Anticipation was running high as we knew we only had 1 day to get the show done as the wind forecast for Friday was 45MPH gusts!
Long story short – The muskies were going NUTS! I ended up staying until Sunday. Thursday was the best day as far as size goes but you will have to wait to see the show for those fish. I will post a few photos from after James and Ben left to wet the appetite!
It was by far the best muskie trip I have been apart of for both size of fish and numbers. Kind of a bittersweet ending of the muskie season for me as the small ponds and bays are starting to ice up (we broke skim ice in a bay on Sunday)
