This is a follow up to my post last week about my drill burning out after drilling only a few holes. Talked to Milwaukee last Monday, they were extremely helpful, courteous, and friendly. The drill was still under warranty if it was a mechanical problem and not physical abuse, which it was and they emailed a Fed Ex ground label. I put the package in the drop box Tuesday morning in central Minnesota, it arrived in Massachusetts Thursday, was repaired (I hope) and back on Fed Ex that same afternoon! Today is Monday and its on the local truck to be delivered to me at home TODAY. Not sure if the drill works yet but I’m very impressed with the timeline. WOW, thank you Fed Ex & Milwaukee.

I’ve had great service from Milwaukee, both for warranty work and parts.

As long as you do the direct return to Milwaukee like the OP did. I’m not sure why Milwaukee still offers “service” at some tool dealers because they tell me to just do the online / Fed Ex service because it’s faster. So a “servicing dealer” really is nothing but a middle man that adds no value. I drove 30 miles to find that out.

If the drill is only days old though just take it back to the store. OP mentioned that it was only after a few holes. This was also my experience and I had a replacement drill from All American do it center that afternoon. Just my two cents, may get you back on the ice faster. But yes Milwaukee has excellent service.

Not since the 60’s cool . I thought my drill was about 2 1/2 years old but when I found the receipt it was 4 1/2, time flies. If it fried after a few holes new you can bet I would have taken it back to Fleet. I am ot a contractor but when I think of all it’s done it’s been used way harder than just hanging pictures.

It came today. Motor Field & Electronic Assy. (Intermittent_not steady) $133, Gear Box (Worn) $81.94, Motor Rotor Assembly (worn) $16.34, Chuck (worn) $35.40, shop supplies $7.75. All at no charge ;D. Can’t beat that, but I am surprised they just didn’t replace it with what labor costs these days. Thomas Tool in St Cloud is a repair shop too, I was going to take it there and get it fixed. This all worked out way better than I ever imagined.
