Smallmouth bass dying

    I have been wading and kayaking alot this year. Over the past week I have noticed alot of smallmouth dying. These are small baby small mouth 2 to 6 inches in length. I was picking crayfish this morning and watched 4 smallmouth dart off make 3 or 4 circles and belly up they go. Is this normal or is this a lack of oxygen and warm water. I have never seen this happen before

    Most likely does have to do with the temp/O2 levels. You’d think smaller fish would fair better in those conditions than bigger mature ones though. Better leave them alone for a while… lol

    Yeah I havent been fishing for them. But the crayfish made a wonderful addition to the dirty rice.
