For you that pull a slow death rig I have 3 questions…

#1 Do you use floating rigs, solid bead rigs and/or both style rigs ?

#2 What brand 3 ways or swivels do you use or doesn’t matter ?

#3 Have you used the blade/propeller style rig ?

    TIA Jeff

I have used both #1 and #3 with great success
Never used a 3 way with one but have used spro swivels at the end of the rig which I prefer

Sometimes a bead or two, color of choice, will be on if clarity is lower. Usually red or chart.

Plain hook more times than not.

We use them a ton on Oahe in the summer!! We fish them plain, or with a bead or two.
We have tried the spinners and propellers and they work ok, but they tend to displace too much water which will cause less action from the hook itself.
We also experiment with all kinds of plastics for bait…sometimes we will catch 5-10 fish before we have to change plastics.
Live bait tends to break off more often and doesn’t move as well. I feel that we have the bait in front of the fish longer when we use plastics.
My dad still likes to use real crawlers, but we are slowly changing him over to plastics.
