Made it out on Vermilion for a few hours today. Great day to be on the water with friends, but only about a dozen smaller (14″) walleyes to show for our efforts. We mainly jigged and rigged in 20 – 30′, but also caught one or two on jigging raps. We marked quite a few fish, but we couldn’t get them to go. We tried a few shallower spots with no success. Surprisingly, there were quite a few boats out for this late in the year, but it was Vermilion after all…. Water temp 51.
