Taking out an older guy who really is not a bass fisherman, and does not really want to become one-just likes to catch fish! So we are going to a lake that has a lot of bass (DNR survey showed 80 per hr. of electrofishing) Thick weedline is between 13-16 fow. We will probably sit in 16 mostly and cast in with Senkos-16 might seem kinda deep to do a wacky but it seems to work, put the spot lock on and sit (you bass guys ever sit?) Will probably also do a slip bobber and fathead to mix it up, might get something else with the minnow, worth a try. Will not get a lunker, should be fun though.

Forget the minnows Tim. The water is way too warm for minnows. It’s like dunking them in a hot tub right now.

I used to use leeches and small suckers for bass once in a while. I spent a lot of time anchored up bass fishing as I fished a lot with my Bros who didn’t bass fish.

Yup minnows were a waste of time/money. Did great with the senkos though, switched to dingers but same idea. Sometimes they wanted it just sitting there sometimes they took it on the move. Lake was a zoo, but sunny Sundayits to be expected. Was very nice to put my friend on a bunch of fish.
