Slab Rap

got some slabs on the new Slab Rap this morning. 30′ water and fish were suspended 15-17′ off bottom. I thought they were crappie until i landed the first one. Got 6 nice gills with it, they were hungry.

I just bought a couple…..it even looks like I picked a good color….

Any chance you could take a photo with just the bait in your hands lol nice fish by the way I’m just trying to get a visual on the 1-1/2inch bait

i did not take any other pics of that gill. im guessing it was pushing 10.5 inches

So what is the differences between the rippin rap and the slab rap besides a little different shape? Anyone know?

No rattles. More subtle action.

Biggill nailed it! those rattles sometimes spook monsters that are wary of a hook away I have watched it…. and the little size will get more finicky monsters to commit!

definitely… i see your from LBDN. when are we gonna get first ice? I am pretty much on vacation all December and hoping to get on the the bay or i will be hitting gobebic. in 2013 i was on LBDN dec 13th. I hope we get a cold snap!
