Couple of pics from last weekend. Mike W and my brother Todd fishing the Mississippi river north of Aitken. Fun trip I look forward to every year. The new jon boat worked out just great. We even put a few keeper walleyes in the boat.

    Good times toast

Were you able to get any water temps?

Curious if the smallies are relating to the deeper bends with fall around the corner.

Water temps were 64-67 degrees. This section of river averages 4-6 feet deep with many areas shallower. There are 8-10 foot holes scattered around different areas. Not necessarily in the river bends. We do focus on the deeper spots. I would call the bite average numbers with the overall size running on the smaller side. We did catch a bunch of 10-12 inch walleye, so next year is looking good for the eye bite up there.

Mike, no pictured of Jane’s musky. Just 2 short video clips. (Camera was set to video rather than camera) I need to see if I can pull a photo out of one of those clips.

    Good stuff. Thanks for details.

Smallies down in MPLS aren’t relating to the holes too much either. Soon, very soon its going to be the bends lights out.

Last couple shore trips out been dead sea. Calm before the storm hopefully.

Rum was spitting out 63 last Sunday.
