Skid House Owners or Users

I am looking for input from anyone who has experience with a skid house set up. I am talking about a true light weight bare bones set up capable of deep powder and being mobile.
Are these more or less mobile then a smaller wheel house (think bare yeti, dak shak, etc…) On one hand you see the guys pulling around the light weight ones on LOW behind snowmobiles and then you also hear about the plowing and pain of moving from some other owners.

Obviously the difference has to be in the size/weight/and psi force on the runners.

In my head the ideal set up would be tracked atv/utv. 7’x14′ skid house. and deck over wheels 18′ tandem axle trailer. Skid house have toy hauler door/s on the back able to park the atv/utv in.

But this set up would only be “ideal” if the house would float over the snow and not plow it. I don’t want to be limited to plowed access or have to leave it at home when the lake gets 12″ of snow on it. Is this possible with a 7×14? or do you need to stick with the 5×7, 6×8 size range?

So is this realistic? Would an aluminum skid house hold up to the bumps and jarring of repeated dragging over rough ice or hard snow? Would a V nose hurt or help the on ice pulling?

If no one has real world experience i would call Beberg Outdoors and ask for Chris. They sell (and fish) alumalite and ridgeline skids and might have info.
