Does anyone run a 1880 with a F150 and a 17 pitch prop on it? My boat came with a 17 instead of a 19. Everything I have read so far has been reviews on the 19 saying it is the way to go. Anyone else???
    Thanks

I am guessing that most of the Skeeter Boat Center guys from here are at the Minneapolis Boat Center. They are the one’s to ask. If no one gives you an answer this weekend, you might want to try re-posting it Monday sometime.

I just sent Gregg @ SBC an email letting him know that this question is here. I’m sure he’ll stop in after the weekend.

I have yet to see one with a 17 and havent heard of anyone running one that is happy with it.

My personal preference for the 1880 with the 150 is the 19 pitch Yamaha relience series prop.
The stock 19″ prop had the boat maxing out at 48mph (+/-) when I switched to the relience it maxed out at 51mph. That would be my choice if I was going to get a new prop.

Not sure why there would be a 17 pitch on that motor, but I have seen stranger things I guess.

I would think the 17 pitch would be bouncing on the rev limiter on a F150. The standard prop would be a 19 and like Eric stated, the Reliance Series 19 pitch will increase the top end 1 to 2 mph over the Yamaha black stainless 19 pitch. That being said, the Reliance will scrub off up to 2 mph more than the black stainless while cornering.
I have driven both and prefer the Reliance.
    Thanks!

Visited with the Skeeter crew at the Mpls show yesterday, great team of guys, beautiful equipment as well. I’d suspect the crowd was even bigger today and tomorrow should be a packed house. Come early to get parking..it got tight yesterday.

EXACTLY what Greg and Eric said. I’ve got same hull (wx1850) and motor (F150). 19″ Black SS came with rig, and did fine, but I’m a bit happier with the 19″ Reliance.
