I haven’t used them but I am thinking that at that depth you could use lead line or inline weights.

At that depth, unless your fishing in some real heavy current, 12lb would be the max you would need.
You may very well be able to get away with an 8lb ball.

8# will be plenty of weight to get there with almost no blowback. I run some 6# when I DR on MilleLacs 30′ 2.5mph and the blowback is very little.

8 pound is all I fish with. Saves wear and tear on the gunnels and has very little blowback when fishing less than 50 feet.

I pull 8’s now was thinking of getting some 4’s to try lighten everything up some just don’t want to pay out 60′ of line to get down to 30′ that’s all Maybe just stick with what I have thanks guys

Andy, I had a few 5#’rs and learned quickly to hate them. I did a lot of trolling in the wind point area (north of racine) they were horrible whenever you hit any type of currents

I’ve been using this design in 8# and get very little blowback and hardly any reflection on my sonar.
