Looking at adding a humminbird 500 or 700 to the bow trolling motor . Just wondering where everyone mounts them and what kind of mount. Thanks

I personally use a ram mount and its seemed to work great .. I have seen this same set up on many others as well, personal preference if you want it centered or to the right or left a bit.. good luck.. I did see recently there is a sale on one of the 800 series hummingbirds for $599.99 as well..

I used a Jonny ray to mount my x28. I mounted it on the front deck, to the left of the bow storage access. The boat is a 2025 proV. It has worked great. That unit also gets mounted on the snowmobile and atv for winter use. The Jonny ray mount has held up under pounding conditions here on mille lacs. The Jonny ray mount has a low center of gravity compared to a ram mount and doesn’t move when you hit waves

I’ve got a 798 mounted up front on a 10″ ram mount. It’s nice getting the smaller displays up closer to your face. Nice not having to bend over as far to change settings, also. The longer rams do bounce a little with the smaller mounting plates, but seem to hold fine.

Take a look at Stabil Mounts.

I got a stabil mount from Jim last summer . Seem. Great just not sure if it is compatible for 500 or 700 series?. Seems like its for bigger units?
