One of the challenges for the new SBC store in Ramsey is going to be upholding the reputation for excellent customer service establish by the crew at the Chippewa Falls store. Pulling that off will come down to picking the right people to fill those big shoes.

So who’s this latest hire you ask? None other than Cal Svihel, In-Depth Outdoors Pro Staffer, MTT Tournament angler and all around great guy. Congrats buddy! I can’t think of a better hire.

I know its always been your dream to working in the fishing / boating industry. In my opinion you couldn’t have picked a better outfit to start the next chapter and the anglers buying boats from SBC are going to love being able to tap into your fishing knowledge.

For those that know Cal, here’s his new email address. [email protected] Shoot him a “congrats.” I’m sure he’ll appreciate it.

For those that have never met Cal, I shot a pic with my phone the other day when I stopped in for a visit. For the record I never did actually see him ON the scaffolding but he did look happy to be standing next to it.

Talk about starting off on the right foot! I think this is a win/win on alot of levels, and am really looking forward to what Cal will do for the north-metro installation of SBC. I’ve always thought that one of the reasons Dean Marshall does such a good job in Chip-Falls, among other things, is his high-level fishing ability. I see Cal following in those same footsteps, as he’s going to be able to manage, coordinate, and offer service with an angler’s mentality in-mind.

Congrats Cal, looking forward to seeing that place take off!

Cal might just be the most detail oriented fishermen I know and I learn something from him every time we hit the water together. I really can’t think of anyone who would be better to work with in figuring out the perfect set-up for your needs.

Congrats brother, I can’t wait to stop up and visit soon!

I’ve been working right behind the new place this week and man you guys got quite the property. Does it go all the way back to the train tracks? And I hope the insurance rates go down with that prison style barbed fence making up the perimeter, no Skeeter is going to make it off that lot without notice.

Cal there’s a white speck on your nose.

Yep, you wiped it off. Now it’s all brown.

I stopped in last week to see Dean and met a couple of the guys. Cal wasn’t there but I got to take a peak at the place. It’s gonna rock and I for one can’t wait!
