The guys at Skeeter Boats are showing they’re in a play-full mood at the start of 2014!

They’ve sent us a series of images for the new 2014 WX 2060 that shows more of the boat with each image shared. We’ve got orders to share one image a day for three days until the entire boat is revealed. Once the boat is revealed then complete specs and additional photos of the boat will be made available on http://www.skeeterboats.com.

Here’s what we know about the boat so far. The 2014 WX 2060 is 20’6” in length with a 99″ beam and was designed to be very similar to the popular WX 2190 but at a slightly smaller size.

    Max Horsepower is 250 HP.

Neither the center rod storage or rear passenger compartment areas have been significantly altered from the dimensions found in those same areas in the WX 2190.

Dual console full glass windshield is standard.

The “Rod Holster” gunnel rod storage system will easily take a 10’ one piece trolling rods.

Center rod storage will handle 8’ rods with room to spare.

The REACT keel design is standard as is the tandem axle swing tongue trailer.

That’s all for now. Until tomorrow that is.

A little more for all you guys pining away for open water in the north country while we slog through one of the coldest winters in a long, long time!

Any idea why it’s not rated for a 300hp motor when the MX2030 is most likely a lesser weight?
Thought’s on speed of the 2060 with the Yamaha offshore f250?
Also, are there any plans for a WX in the 18-19′ range with the react keel.
I’m going to be ordering a Skeeter soon and would like to know if I should hold off a little while.
I’ve also heard that Yamaha will be changing the f150 over to the offshore platform???
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

    ETA for the 18-19′ model?

Also, any ideas on the hp rating of the new 18-19′ model?
    225?
    250?
    Or 200 max?
I would love a 19′ WX with the new “React” keel that I could mount either an offshore f225 or f250 on. This would be my ideal fish/family boat.

My best guess is that the 18′-19′ wx will be rated for 200 max. I dont think you will see the 225 or 250 on those boats.

I see the new WX2190 doesn’t have a ski tow bar option but both the MX1825 and MX2025 do. Please tell me the new WX2060 will have a ski tow bar option?

I also see there is a retractable boarding ladder for the WX2190, MX1825 & MX2025. Is this an actual boarding ladder or is just an E-ladder as I’m assuming the same ladder will come on the new WX2060?

Sorry for all the questions but I really appreciate all your help.

I cant say for sure if the 2060 will have a factory ski tow bar option at this point. With that said Im pretty sure it will be something we can add at the dealership.

All boats come with the e-ladder that is next to the motor. There is the option of an actual boarding ladder that can be factory or ordered after the fact, but it is not “retractable”

Is the actual boarding ladder foldable considering it’s not retractable?
I can’t find pic’s of it anywhere on the internet.
If the WX2060 doesn’t have the option of a ski tow bar and I elect to add the actual boarding ladder, I may be able to ditch the stock e-ladder and mount a removable Turbo Swing in it’s place as from what I understand the Turbo Swing brackets mount to the motor mount???

The bottom step of the ladder folds onto itself but still sticks up over the transom.

I have no idea what a turbo swing is so Im not able to answer that question for you.

It appears that it mounts right with the engine bolts and same holes so I dont see that being a problem. It doesnt look like it comes over far enough to interfer with a boarding ladder but may be tight trying to climb up the ladder. Not sure until you actually try and mount them both.

Thanks Eric. I hope the WX2060 has the skeeter ski tow bar option but if not this looks like a really good removable system. Does the turbo swing mount to the same place the standard E-ladder does?
If so, do you think they could work together?

Heard the new WX19XX might be a out late spring. Its going to be rated for a 200. I sure wish they would have made it a 225 so guys could have the option. Should be a sweet boat though

I dont think you could find bolts long enough to put them both on. On top of that I dont know what good the e-ladder would do you if you had the swing on, you wouldnt be able to climb up it.

Built-in Bow Light – That’s what I was hoping the 2014 MX would have, although loking at it, not sure how that’s legal with the trolling motor plate obstructing it?

What brand of keel guard is that?
Any updates on a ski tow bar option?
Where did the bow step up cooler go?

Also, approximately what would the cost difference be between the new WX2060 with an offshore 250 and the new WX19?? with an F200? Both with hydraulic steering and most all other options would be the same. I’m just looking for a ballpark. Thanks!!!

    Haby’s keel gaurd
It appears that there is an option for a ski bar
The step up cooler is no longer there on this model it is now a tackle storage

I cant answer the pricing question for you as I dont know what the price on the 2060’s are yet. I will look into it though.

guessing that it will not have the shelves under the consoles like the mx series.

It does have the built in shelves, same as the 2190
