What’s a good simple depth finder for the bow?

Let me preface by saying I don’t need GPS, side or bottom imaging or a large screen. I just want a simple depth/temp/fish finder that plugs into the MinnKota universal sonar and will accurately display the bottom contour and gives me accurate depth readings, especially in shallow muddy water. Lastly, the unit needs to be small as I plan on installing it flush mount on a MX1825 and as you know the bow panel is rather small (I’m having a custom bow panel made to accomodate a flush mount)

I would prefer Humminbird as that will be the brand I use at my console, but Lowrance is fine too…

I know these requirements most likely put me in the entry level line of electronics, but I want to avoid the cheap stuff that doesn’t work.

What are a few models I should focus on? Humminbird 300 series or the PiranahMAX series? 300 series might even be overkill for what I need it for…

    Do you ice fish ?

A LX6 or LX7 with the universal pigtail from Marcum will be a good fit…

Best bang for the buck if you don’t need GPS
