Can anybody who has a Canvas Craft cover on their boat let me know what you think about it? I’m debating going with a custom cover that will include a motor hood cover vs a factory boat cover. I know Canvas Craft will customize the cover to exactly fit your boat, just curious on the materials they use and how they hold up?

They do a good job and will make what ever want. But what I found when looking for a custom boat cover is there were on the high end on price. I ended going to a place up in Isanti they charged me $350 for what canvas craft wanted $700. I found this place on CL (Lakeside Upholstery and Canvas Inc in Princeton is offering 40% off all custom boat covers in Blue or Black) might want to call on

there is a difference in material used. ask to see the canvas they will use. My guess is all makers have access to a wide range of material. they have top of the line and budget line products.

Your right down the road from Granpa Joes, he has a place that makes covers and they awesome looking covers and well designed. Swing in and take a look at one they are custom for each boat. Price is about where everyone else is.

Canvas Craft covers are nice and worth the money. I had 2 custom covers made there. The covers fit great, they were pliable, and have held up well. I bought a custom cover at another shop that was highly recommended and I was not impressed. I saved about 15% off Canvas Craft’s cost but I was not happy with the fit or material. When I get another boat, I will get a custom cover from Canvas Craft again.

I’m with Bigfife on that as well. Their covers are tad bit more, but they are second to none. With my covers in the past, I’ve always had mold issues on my cork handles due to poor airflow. Canvas Craft does a really good job to make sure their covers are nicely vented but still totally waterproof.

Thanks to all for the replies! I won’t travel with the cover so it’s mostly for Rain/Sun protection while my boat sits on the lift all summer. Good to know that Canvas Craft is a good option though…

Just had custom covers made at North Country Canvas in Crystal for a Wx 2100. A storable fishermans top and a snap-on cover. Very nice work. I’m not a big fan of travel covers but I will use this one on longer trips. The boat came with a new factory cover and I’m selling it.

I looked into a snap cover for my 2100, I had concern over the placement of the snaps. I did not want them located on the gunnel. I was told snaps located on the rub rail are to difficult snap. Where did you place them? Ant pics. Thanks
