If gel coat is anything like clearcoat I would use a polish and not a wax. Polish is tougher and lasts longer but doesn’t give you the deep shine of a wax. Polish also doesn’t yellow over time like a wax can. The hardcore car guys will put a polish down first and then wax over it for the deep shine.

Turtle wax Ice. Awesome stuff. Its ease of use has revolutionized waxing.

X2 Another nicety is it does not turn dark stuff white like chips in dark paint like wax does, and works outstanding on rubber products such as the rubrail will shine and protect it.

X3. Awesome stuff. Kind of an all in one for paint/gelcoat, rubber trim, and I even put it on the windshield so it sheds water in the rain! Long lasting as well. Beads up water like it was freshly waxed for 8+ washes on my vehicles!
