Looking for the length and width of the live wells on the wx1850. I am just starting the search for my purchase by next spring. This is one of the botas in the running and can not find these numbers any where. Thank You

It looks like it is 30 1/2″ long by 14 1/2″ wide

I’m sure there’s some type of solution for making the MX1825 rear storage doors into some type of jump seats? Get out the scratch paper and start mocking up some hinges

I am surprised it’s not already an option. They are the perfect size for jump seats with storage underneath. I would not want them, but some people might.

Yep, that would be the ticket! If Momma aint happy aint no body happy, and she thinks we need the jump seats.

Well I bought mine last November to a lot of balking from the mother hen. Move forward 6 months and I finally get her out in it on the water. She fell in love with the MX1825. In fact she said on our last trip, “I think we need a bigger boat”. Coming from the woman who said for the longest time, “what’s wrong with the boat you’ve got?” and “we don’t need a different boat”…. One ride during a holiday weekend watching 20 foot somethings out there bobbing around like corks in the wake of other boats, she was convinced I made the right decision. Could not believe that we hardly moved when the wake masters were flying by etc…

Sometimes you just have to do what you think is right based on the fact of who has the better judgement when it comes to the boat your going to spend the most time in. I know Ranger offers there’s with the jump seats not sure about the storage issue or livewell size as I did not get to actually check them out in person.

Personally I would not let the seats hold you back. Especially if you can outfit them in. Get some measurements on those openings you could save a lot of money by doing it yourself.

I own an 1850, and I love my boat. Fish mostly for muskies and walleyes, have never put anything but walleyes in my live well. Family of four, it holds more fish than you can eat. 25+ years of muskie fishing I have yet to need a live well to revive one, and have yet to kill one (that I know of).

My wife also loved the jump seats, and after a couple seasons I will tell you they are great for maybe small kids. We tried to go without using four seats on pedestals one trip and put my two boys (14 & 19 at the time) on the jump seats to have more floor space, ugh makes it handle like a loaded manure wagon. BUT, the jump seats helped me buy the boat because on the show floor my FW loved the concept.

Having owned a lot of different boats, I have the view that my 1850 is perhaps the smoothest rough water under 19′ boat made. So if you fish Rainy, LOTW, etc. it is hard to go wrong with this hull.
