For the guys that have one mounted on their trailers. Do you have any issues with it not clearing the garage door when backing in?

    Thanks,

I haven’t yet on my 2025 or 1825…..my garage is very tight fit.
We can measure one to give you idea for clearance needed.

On a MX2025 it is roughly 82″ from the floor when hooked to the truck. The windsheild is 80″ to 81″ from the floor.

On my 2100 trailer the top is 84″. There is some adjustment on the winch post.

measured three times and came up with 83”. Might have to flip the draw bar and ball just to make sure.

I was looking at those steps and the only thing that stuck out at me like a sore thumb was the hand rail. I found these and am thinking about ordering the sportsmans set and having them powder coated to match the trailer.

I think I can live without the hand rail.

The Hand rail may not be the nicest looking thing but 2 things I have found with it. If your carrying something heavy or a lot of things into the boat it is nice to have the rail so you can keep your balance. The other thing that I found quite nice is when loading, you can use it as a gauge to where the center of the bow roller is when the boat gets just far enough up to where you cant see it. After loading a few times you can judge where the center is off the ladder and it makes getting centered that much easier!!

Just my observations after having a set for almost a year now!!

I can see the benefit of the hand rail. Is it removable or permanent? It could be useful when launching alone that is for sure.

These ones are all welded and one piece. Like I said, not the best looking but the functionality of them outweighs the looks in my book!!

Yeah I don’t know maybe if it were sleeve pinned onto a stanchion I could excited about it. Most of the time I launch with at least two people. I would really only need something like this when launching alone. Being able to remove that pole would be a bonus.

I must admit that I wasn’t too excited when I first saw the ladder. Mentally I didn’t get it and percieved it to be one more thing in the way.

My light bulb turned on when I listened to a few customers on their experiences and after I actually used it for myself. I have found it really shines for me for getting out of the boat. A long day on rough water does impact my sense of balance and in hooking the boat back up to the winch when at landings where you don’t want to get your feet wet.
I guess it is one of those “old guy” things!
