Mx2025 and 300

    Question. How did skeeter get away with putting a 300 on the mx2025 as per the coast guard calcs it can only hold a 250 after rounding up.

    I thought boats over 20ft had much looser restrictions.

    im no expert but i think it has to do with hull displacement,transom width,height, and weight balance of hull…..ranger 620 is rated at 250 and 621 is at 300hp….

    All Skeeter Boats are rated within Coast Guard guidelines.

    There was actually a discussion regarding capping the rating at 250 as a pricing strategy similar to other products on the market to keep the package price down.
