Was the 2009 Skeeter W200T rated for anything more then 115 hp?

Was a tandem axel trailer standard equipment, will I find a single axel on the used market?

Should I expect to pay more or less then $25,000 with a 115 hp. Yamaha?

Not that it really matters but, what is the speed of that boat with a 115 hp Yamaha?

    Thank you

Labor Day weekend 2010. Myself and my brother in the boat with no fishing gear. It was just in for service, so I wanted to test it out before I got it packed for the tournament. We hit 41 on the Humminbird and Lowrance GPS. Since then it was always full of gear, but last August I was hitting 39.5 with my wife and I in the boat. I planned to sell it, so I even took some GPS pictures. I could pull the pics off of my old phone.

Now that you got me thinking more about it, I was also getting over 40 in the green slime up on Lake of the Woods. For some reason, that algae will make any boat pick up about a mile per hour. That was also in late August with a full livewell, 2 guys, half a tank of gas, and about every rod I own in the boat.

When I bought my boat, I was told these boats were running 42 mph. I never got there and for most of the year it was a 38 mph boat, but it really liked the warmer weather/water later in the summer.

The 115 trolls/backtrolls perfect on that boat.

I believe that some 2008 and 2009 WX2000T’s were rated for 150hp, here’s a Yamaha performance report from 7/08 (with a 115) that shows 150 as the max hp. If you Google Skeeter WX2000T F150 , you’ll seem some results.

I can get 35mph (stock no upgrades) gps with my WX1790 with a 75hp. Wouldnt surprise me one bit if WX2000T hits 40mph

Thanks, so if I understand everybody ALL 2009 2000T were rated for 150 hp? Does anybody know why they quit rating them for 150hp until recently? Seems strange the the ’09 was 150 hp but you couldn’t get another 150hp tiller until ’12? Is that correct?

Thanks again for the help guys.

Short answer. Outdated Coast Guard rating system and a lack of a Yamaha remote system for larger hp tiller motors.

    I believe you Dan…
I have a 1750 SC Crestliner with a 115 4stroke that only gets 40 gps and it has to be a lot lighter than a 20 Skeeter.

I also run a 2009 with the 115 and with 10 gallons of fuel on board, light on the tackle, and just me, trimmed out high I can bump 40 on the gps but 39.0 pretty steady. Today loaded with with a full tank, 2 guys, dog, gear, T8 kicker, vantage 80, terrova 80 and front livewell full ran from the north mud on mille lacs to ceader creek at a steady 36.5.

As far as trailer I have a single axle and wish I had a tandam but it seems to handle it just fine.

I have a single axel trailer on my 2009 -20 ft. tiller. My 115 hits 33-34 mph. with 3 guys in my boat and about 37 by myself. Great boat great ride.

Tom, sounds like you should test drive a 2000T! They make a pretty darn good guide boat!

From May 17 th this spring. 4 200 plus pound guys, upstream current, heathy chop 36.7 gps not fully trimmed out. Also 8 rods pulling rigs. We didnt hurt or backs, or get wet! Had a great day on the water, caught lots of fish and many laughs regardless if our speed was 30,40, or 50 mph!

Brian, to my knowledge, not fact, 2009 was the only year the 2000T was rated for a 150. That was based on a mechanical steering system thatwas made availble for Yamahas. After that, that particular system was no longer avaiable.Hence, the 115 max.

A single axle is std, however I highly advise against it, and we will not order a single axle trailer for our stock orders. A 20 ft glass boat is alot to get stopped on a single axle brake system in a emergency situation. Also, it just flat out tows better, meaning less wear n tear on your tow vehichle. However, the customer is always right, so you do have the option!

What should you expect to pay? IMPOSSIBLE to answer that. Hrs on motor, wear n tear condition? But for an average condition you are probably very close.

Ave speed, you already have your replies on that one!

Here is from this past weekend. I replaced the fuel/water seperator and got some rpms back. 1 person, 1 dog, front livewell full, full tank of fuel, all my walleye gear, 3 batteries, terrova 80 on bow, vantage 80 and T8 kicker on transom…
