WX 1850 Auto Bilge

It appears the auto bilge on my WX 1850 doesn’t work, actually it has never worked but I finally have gotten around to fix it. Certainly a smarter man than me would have had SBC look into during the last 9 months I had it stored with them.

So I know I must “have” one, it says so on the Skeeter build sheet. Checked the fuses, they are fine and of course both pumps work when you turn the switch.

Looking for some suggestions before I try to wedge my head way down there to investigate.

    Thanks

    Bob

If you flip the seat up to get to your starting battery then look down behind the battery to the right( when you’re facing the battery) you’ll see a bilge pump and the float is to the side of that. You may have to push the fuel fill hoses over a bit to see the float. The float has a small lever on the back of it you can push down to test it.

There also is a separate fuse for the auto bilge under the dash and it’s not in the normal fuse panel. It’s up tied in with the wires behind the switches. It’s usually on the starboard side of the dash. And it’s a gray inline fuse holder with a removable cap to get to the fuse.

    I hope that helps.

Found the in line fuse, it was blown (5 amp). New fuse pump started running, removed battery float switch stuck “up”. Not sure exactly what caused that, but moving it up and down works perfectly now.

Thank you so much for the help!

You realize when you are trying to get your arm way down there how deep this hull is!
