Hello everyone. New to this board and thought this would be a good place to ask this question. There is a good chance a Skeeter MX1825 with a F150 will be my next boat. I’ve been going through the standards/options on the website to see what I would want. They list “Yamaha Command Link” as an available option. I was curious if anyone was running these gauges and what they thought about them. I would be also curious to know how much this option costs if anyone knows.

    Thanks!

Hopefully the SBC guys will chime in here. I bought a new MX1825 w/ the new 200 4-stroke. I was hoping to hook my motor up to the Humminbird for motor function data, but haven’t found a clear or good way to do this yet. I’m also curious as to command link pricing.

not to sidetrack this thread (because it’s a topic I’d like to know more about too) but how do you like the F200 on the MX1825 so far? Did you test drive a MX1825 with a F150 as well? if so, how much of difference is there?

So far I love the boat, but since this boat and motor combo is so new, the SBC boy’s are still doing some prop testing to find the right combo. We started out with a 19 pitch Turbo 1 and I was getting 54-55 MPH with a light load, but hole shot could be improved, so they’ve been testing other prop’s to dial this in. I’m sure they’ll find the right prop to make this combo a great choice. I’m probably a bit of an oddball in terms of people that would buy this setup. In addition to the Walleye, Crappie, Perch, Bass, and Musky fishing I typically do, I’ll also be Salmon fishing quite a bit and that involves having a lot of extra gear on the boat weighing it down. I’m looking for decent hole shot with all that added gear plus 3 guys and hopefully about 120 lbs of Salmon .

I forgot to answer the rest of your question. I have not been in this boat with the F150, so I can’t directly compare them. I can say though that this 200 has a very strong mid-range and top end. Just need to find the right prop to bring the hole shot around. These new F200’s have a different gear ratio than the F150 and old F200, so that’s what’s driving the need for prop testing I’m sure….

I have the new F70 on our family pontoon, amazing what they can pack into those small motor packages nowadays.

I’m running the Yamaha gauges on the my Grady White. I like them. I have all my engine info right there without using ANY screen space on my Touch 12 & 7. Would not be without them.

I had 3 different sets of them on my Ranger boats in the mid 2000’s right after they came out before you could get engine data onto your locators. I loved them and if there’s still an option for the square gauges do so as you can display more on the screens vs the round ones. Good luck and you have a beautiful looking rig there!
