Curious what boat covers the MX guys are going with? I haven’t seen any pics of MX boats covered yet online..Do the covers include hoods for the motors as well?

    Any pics would be nice!

I’ve got the Custom Skeeter cover. Sorry, I don’t have any pics with the cover on.

It does not cover the motor.
No complaints about the cover, it’s worked well thus far!

I’d sure like to see pictures with the cover on, hopefully somebody else has a few they can post. Did you buy the cover at the time of boat purchase or afterwards? Can you ballpark what it cost ya? Are they the strap under the boat style or bungee to the trailer?

I have the Skeeter cover. Ordered it when I ordered the boat. You could get it either way with/without motor cover. I got it without because every cover rubs off paint. It is a racket strap around back and 3 tie straps on each side that you can cinch down tight. At time of order it was $600. I like it OK but my last cover was a snap down but it was on a Lund and no holes drilled. Didn’t want a 100 holes in the glass.

Not sure if rub rail is same on MX as my WX1850, but that’s where most of my snaps are screwed in…underside of the rub rail. There are eight technically in the glass, 1 on each rear gunwale, 6 in splash well, but none in the sides. Nothing again the Skeeter custom covers, I just like the tightness of a custom snap cover. Would like to see one on an MX if any out there….good luck.

i got my custom Skeeter cover (winch plus 3 straps per side) without a motor cover, and then i bought a separate gray Yamaha motor cover.

i like having them separate, as i think it allows a better fit for both the motor cover and the boat cover.

Here are a couple pictures of an 1825 cover on a tandem trailer. Skeeter does not offer a motor cover but yamaha does offer one for each style of motor that covers the cowling by itself.

Go talk to Joe at Grampa Joes I had the same cover made for my boat as shown in the picture, it has a perimeter ratchet strap, 1 belly strap fits like a glove access ports for the gas tank

This reminded me. The cover from Skeeter also has the access panel for the gas tank!

    Very nice to have!

Gas fill access and no straps that touch the side of the boat to wear on the gel coat are 2 big positives!
