    Snow on the deck; Skeeter WX2190 re-considers assignment on Rainy Lake over Minnesota’s fishing opener!!

    Lake is opening up nicely as anglers look to shed layers of clothing. Heck I’m down to 3 sweatshirts already.

    While I hope we’ve seen the last of the snow for awhile I’ve convinced myself that the Otter should stay in the back of the truck for at least another week.

    For once reading one of Chris’ posts doesn’t make me jealous

    Looks like that was a pretty tough day to be out! Best of luck getting down to 1 sweatshirt weather.

    Might be able to ice fish all year next year. Big Ice chunks being blown all across the lake right now. Have to be careful out there. 30mph winds beating things up out there right now. Lots of lake open by Wed!!

    I’ve been far warmer in 20 below weather on my knees ice fishing!!! Bugs haven’t been bad.
