Wondering if anyone has done any testing of optimum mounting hole on this setup. Currently mounted in hole #2.

I havent played with the mounting hole at all based on what I have seen with the jackplates. I have ran a jack plate on both the 1825 and 2025 and have not seen a significant performance change, or enough to warrent trying other holes. The only reason I would switch mounting holes after knowing what I know from the jack plate is if you plan to run, big water in big waves, then I may drop it down one.

Otherwise I would say you are best off where your at now, but your welcome to try it.

Thanks for the input. What would advantages be for lowering the motor for big waves…Cavitation? The performance is good where it’s at, just always wondering if it could be better. Any prop testing been done, or is the factory Reliance the best overall there is? Can’t tell you what the max RPMs are, as I haven’t hit them yet.

Cavitation is the biggest reason. Also able to keep the nose down a little more due to not cavitating also.

We prop tested it before they actually started producing the boats and that was the best fitting prop that we could find. Some people have dropped a pitch it planning on carrying real heavy loads most all the time.
