Looking and thinking hard about WX2190

Going to boat show and looking at this boat this weekend. Wife says it just can’t be red, thats a good sign, who has one or spent some time in one.

I really like our 2100 and my other post gave me some good info.

Skeeter and Yamaha’s websites I wasn’t able to find any performance data on the boat.

I am usually reluctant to buy ANY first year models but I am pretty confident in Skeeter.

One question I have and haven’t been able to find the answer to is how long on trailer. My storage unit is 30′ outside measurement, I haven’t measured inside yet, my 2100 fits inside without folding tounge on trailer but with motor trimmed down and a couple of inches to spare. Walls are standard 2×4 studs. Will a 2190 fit if I fold trailer tongue, this is the 1 big factor on whether I move forward?

    Thanks in advance.

Just found this in a quick search. Looks like 27′ with a foldable tongue.

As a guy like yourself who has ran the WX2100 for a few years I will say this; The WX2100 was re-configured to be precisely what anglers want.

The more pronounced keel design will help hold a line.

Taking a little of the breast out of the bow will help quartering into waves.

Storage designs are simply more efficient.

Center livewell allows better weight balancing and easy access.

Slightly more room in the cockpit of the boat by taking some out of the bow will help in several ways.

There are just a lot of little things tweaked to really round out this boat for anglers.

I have NOTHING bad to say about the WX2100. I LOVED IT.

Yea, I love my 2100 and can’t really find anything wrong with it.

I looked at 2190’s over the weekend, one at my dealers and another at boat show. Spent an hour talking with Steve Soukup ( regional sales manager for Skeeter). The 2190 is sweet and I like the changes.

I am scheduled for my boat to be serviced Saturday at dealer and he knows he might be keeping it. Just a matter of him getting me some numbers now.

I am on the fence as I don’t like to buy 1st year productions of anything. Wife really likes the layout and boat so that is a plus, but writing a check and giving up a boat that has been trouble free and nothing wrong with it over 4 plus years is what I keep asking myself “Should I or Shouldn’t I”

Wife says it a testosterone thing but man 300 horses and all new of the latest electronic’s, she maybe right but she says its my decision she will still catch more and bigger fish than me. LOL

LOL!! Seems everything within the boating industry keeps getting better. Skeeters newly designed Hull with a more prounounced keel is a prime example. While it is difficult to find fault in the WX2100, the WX2190 is just that much better……..AGAIN!!

Good luck in your decision process. I know what you are going through.

Well I am thinking it will be like going from Crown Royal Special Reserve to Crown Royal Extra Rare.

We had the new wx2190 & mx2025 on the water last weekend.I believe a 10 minute test drive would address and answer your concerns in short order! We try to have one of every model rigged & ready to drive 12 months / yr so let the boat tell you first-hand. Good luck!

Glad to see you stepped into the WX2190. Pretty sure you’ll never regret the move. Kelly and I flat out JACKED UP to bring ours to “BORDERLAND”.
