Dean reported 59MPH in the WX 2190 with two guys. 61 in the MX 2025. Here’s some feedback from a dealer post-test drive

“I got 62 even with both livewells full, full tank, and just me in the 2190 and 60.3 on the 2025 same fuel and livewells full. Both boats ran faster with water in the wells. Just enough chop to probably be the best case for speed that day.

    84.8 degree water.”

So during the 2190 test the driver must not know how to operate a jackplate being they show 57mph

They should be trying Turbo props being Yamaha owns them and in my experience a better performing prop.

These bulletins are not the final word on performance… they’re more of a baseline to start from. There will be a lot of testing to come once the boats get up here in the midwest. The testing was done with saltwater boat props. Like you said, once you get a Turbo or other performance prop on these boats then we’ll be able to get a true feel for what these boats will do.

I will tell you this, that 2190 w/300 doing 57 MPH (Dean says he had 59 MPH) is one scorching fast boat at nearly 22′ long.

You can’t argue too much about the performance of the Saltwater 21P on that boat. At 3000 RPM it’s a couple of mph faster and gets better fuel economy. Not to mention better top end.

On other Skeeter hulls that 21P has been a decent performer as well. It does however have thick blades and we’ve seen about a 2MPH jump when we’ve switched that 21P out for a higher performance 21 pitch prop. I would expect we’ll see that same jump on the MX 2025 as well.

I’m looking forward to prop testing these boats ASAP.

You and me both. I think we can see at least a 2mph increase if not more after some tweaking!!
