We’re not going to add this one to the threads we have running for the new models as we assume this trick new mount will be available for any Skeeter Boat.

Here’s the scoop. Anglers have been telling Skeeter engineers that the existing mounts available for MinnKota bow mount trolling motors were built well and did the job but there was room for improvement. What anglers wanted to see was a bracket that allowed the trolling motor to be easily moved “in and out” from a stowed position to a ready to fish position.

Having this simple functionality would allow anglers to launch on very steep ramps without hitting the trolling motor on the bow roller and anglers could slide the trolling motor back into a stowed position when traveling, both when on the water or trailer.

    Slick. Simple. Skeeter Boat exclusive.

Great idea. I know I’ve experienced this issue on steep ramps as well as a few other I’ve talked to with other brands of boats.

Yep, that is a good idea.

I don’t know how many times I have left the launch only to notice my Terrova tottering on the bow as I hit the first few waves.

Will this be a standard option for all Skeeters?

Good question. I don’t know at this time but Dean will fill us in shortly. If it is an option, and I think it would be, it wouldn’t likely be a very expensive one.

Imagine a black rectangle bolted to the gunnel the motor sits over and you’ve got it.

This is a great idea. Is it a permanent mount or a quick release mount?

I think it safe to assume that if the bracket allows for forward and backward adjustment that the entire motor can be removed as well. More to come regarding additional details shortly.

Sure,,, Just as I was going to suggest getting rid of the extra landing zone on the walleye boats, as no one uses a Fortrex. Now there is a reason.. Is this a retrofittable option for existing Skeeter owners?

To my knowledge std on terrova Wx MX boats. It is also a quick release bracket as well.

Retro to previous models ? I don’t see why not, but I can’t quote you a price yet either.
