Will be released here tomorrow at 8 AM, sharp. Suffice it to say the 2025 with a 300 HP Yamaha Off Shore hanging on the back looks BAD. In a good way.

I have been waiting for this one VERY patiently. Too bad I will be on the road to SBC at 8:00. Might have to pull over to check it out.

Is Skeeter gonna make a boat the average guy can afford that’s not as hideous looking as the MX 1825. Don’t take that the wrong way either guys. The layout is awesome, wish they’d copy that over to the 1850 or 1900 hull. But that boat with a full windshield just doesn’t look right. That kick up at the consoles I’m not a big fan of.

Not that I would agree with you on the looks of the MX. I think it is a very sharp boat… but each to their own.

You can’t have the layout and the same cockpit depth without the “kick ups” as you call them. As soon as you go away from the way the consoles are designed you have to raise the gunnels and as soon as you do that the entire multi-species functionality is lost. Quite simply it would become just another high-sided, deep cock pit glass boat better suited for trolling than anything else. In this case, form follows function.

I do think you’ll see some of the MX storage refinements and some of the floor plan lay-out carried over to the 1850 and 1900 where possible… but they’ll never have the same “is this a 20′ boat?” open feel, multi-species fishability and driver fit behind the wheel you see in the 1825.

And if you think the MX 2025 isn’t one hot looking boat once you see the pics tomorrow… I’m not sure Skeeter is going to be able to build a boat for you.

I’ll buy that James. I think the features I’d like to see carried over from other models are the MX side rod storage. And the new centered livewell in the 2190.

The MX does have a centered livewell so I’m assuming you’re referencing the jump seats? If so, I don’t think you’ll ever see those in an MX. From an engineering stand point it simply isn’t possible without drastically downsizing the livewell. And then the hull would likely need to be modified given weight distribution would be shifted rearward with people riding in the jump seats.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the Rod Holster appear in some of the other WX models though.

I agree. That’s one of the main reasons we went with the 1850 over the 1825.

It is one sharp looking boat, but I do have to say I think the wow factor will be when you drive it

I’ll be putting them up early. As in NOW. Before we start getting bomb threats or something like that.
