Had an unfortunate incident that has led to me needing a new cover for my Skeeter. Question I’m working through is this: should I order a Skeeter cover through a dealer or have a custom cover made from someplace like Canvas Craft or ?? If the custom cover is the best way to go and similar in cost, who’s the best place to go through. I’m in Rogers on the NW side of the Twin Cities and don’t want to go too far.

Skeeter themselfs dont have the patterns for that old of a cover anymore.

Aurora Canvas would be your best option as they buy all of Skeeters older patterns.

Otherwise any custom cover place would be able to take care of you, such as canvas craft.

I see your in Rogers right by Canvas Craft, But I found a place in East Bethel Called Economy Canvas. That does the same work as canvas craft but at about 40% less in price.

So I stopped into Canvas Craft to get a quote. Right in line with what I was expecting: depressing – at least there was no sticker shock.

The guy suggested/recommended going with a snap on cover as opposed to a tie down cover. He says it’s more air tight for travel. Any pros/cons for a bass boat?

The only con is they get to drill your fiberglas boat full of holes.
